" As my Gyn described it, it is a synthetic Estrogen which does not have the negative side effects of estrogen. But I have read that it can increase the risk of blood clots. I have friends who are taking it and it has increased their bone density. I'd prefer to do it other ways. But I'm already doing as many of the things I have learned about that will help it.
