I used to get upset over such things, but after having nearly every possible variation of trimming preventing problem affect me or my computer personally, I now prefer to cut people plenty of slack, because it may not always be due to selfishness, ignorance or thoughtlessness on the part of the non-trimming poster. A private offer to help resolve possible problems preventing the person from trimming their posts is much more helpful sometimes, and doesn't clog the list with more junk. But in the case of those like Ann with a software that just won't allow trimming, rude posts either public or private are no help, and private offers of help are no help either unfortunately. I'd rather have members in Ann's position be able to participate in list discussions without being told off for something they cannot help and cannot fix even it it means some extra work with the delete button for members who cannot conceive that anyone might not be able to trim a post even if they wanted to. sol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
