Guest guest
I had posted several days ago about my son's PICA problems - he is eating dirt and rocks and seems to crave the uncooked rice they use as therapy in OT. He won't even touch it if cooked! Anyway, several people mentioned uping his zinc (we currently only use 1 gram (20mg) of TD zinc per day. So, I bought some of the Zinc Methomethianine that everyone suggested. How do I dose it on a 40 lb child? This is by Solaray and is in 30 mg capsules. One person had mentioned that the dosage is the childs'weight plus 20 mgs. This would mean he would recieve 60 mg of zinc per day - that seems like a lot. Is this standard? How much is everyone giving? I think he needs this but I am afraid of giving too much! Help! Any advice? Thanks!
