RE: Lugols' vs Magnascent Iodine

I don't know but there is a yahoo list, iodine and the owner is very knowledgeable. She is studying to be a ND.

 

I recall discussion of Lugol's vs Magnascent Iodine and waswondering if anyone recalls the relative benefits of each. I

want to say DB leaned toward the Magnascent but I can'tremember why?Garnet

Not to change the subject, but I have been wondering this for awhile. I have been spraying DMSO on my arm then adding 3 drops of iodine every night. I would like to know if the body gets rid of excessive iodine on it's own, and if not, is it dangerous if one overdoses on iodine? I just don't know how much my body needs. Have been doing this for a year. Thanks for any help....Orrilia

a few drops of lugol's every day is likely more good than bad, unless you

have some specific iodine allergy or other condition. just dont be doing

that with iodine tincture as the alcohol in it is denatured, toxic to ingest

so putting it inside with DMSO is probably just as bad as swallowing it...

my guess.

Your body excretes excess iodine in your urine.  Most people seem to be highly deficient in iodine, so I doubt that 3 drops every night would be too much.~W

there is a test: putting iodine on the skin to watch how fast it disappears.

The procedure is discussed between experts.

Look up Google " iodine test skin " .
