Guest guest
I'm not a fan of using Lupron as a first line therapy for several reasons: 1. Testosterone is likely a downstream problem. I would rather try and treat the testosterone issue at the real problem, not to treat the high testosterone as a symptom. 2. There are what I believe to be safer methods to lower testosterone. The first method is " azole " antifungals like Difucan or Nizoral. I have a strong belief about taking care of fungus in these children and to avoid the fungal problem and just go after testosterone is, for at least some, a mistake in my opinion. The amounts of fungus (and fungal toxins) in our kids are likely part of the core testosterone problem. I'm not judging the folks who try Lupron. I would consider it as well if I couldn't get my child testosterone levels down through antifungals and/or diet (removing complex carbs, grains, milk products and reducing the meat intake). - Stan > > Hi! Guest guest
Annette, I generally agree with Stan's recommendations. My son is currently using Lupron with good results. He was a non-responder to most ASD treatments -- MB12, chelation etc. He now responds to chelation and makes sounds and words which he never did before. He also rides a tricycle and follows directions. He is moving up the ladder but he's not out of the woods and has a long way to go. We did try Nizoral and some naturals to lower testosterone. These were not effective for my son. Lupron has been effective. In my son's case, I believe that recovery would not be possible without lowering testosterone levels. Again, recommend you test & good luck. Stan Kurtz wrote: I'm not a fan of using Lupron as a first line therapy for several reasons:1. Testosterone is likely a downstream problem.
