Guest guest
sounds like you are interested in being an "insurance company." I think there are some legal ramifications to your ideas.... I still want to accept some insurances forthose that get it as a benefit from their job, but for those who have HSAsor no insurance, I would offer 2 different options:$50/month which includes 1 physical, routine labs, 5 office visits and 7days of hospital care per year.$30/month which includes 1 physical, routine labs, 2 office visits and 5days of hospital care per year. This is somewhat attractive to me and some interested patients of mine. Does anyone have any opinions on this? Is it legal?Thanks,- Moderator>> Hello,>> Welcome to the group at Yahoo! Groups, a> free, easy-to-use email group service. Guest guest
Greetings, I guess I just don't really get the boutique idea. Maybe because I am a rural doc. I am seeing a full spectrum of patients from self-pay, medicaid, medicare, and private insurance. Open 2 months and potentially I have made a profit from month one. I am looking to actually take a salary in month three. When my patient panel is full, I am looking at bringing home $200k a year salary. I don't see the need to be a "boutique". However, I can see that I could potentially make even more money if I did. I would probably also have to move into the city. Sincerely, TAS -----Original Message-----From: Graham, M.D. Sent: Thursday, April 01, 2004 10:47 PMTo: Subject: Billing optionsHas anyone out there thought of, or heard of multiple billing options?I was contemplating offering a sort of "hybrid" boutique option for thosepeople without insurance. Guest guest
I agree....why are patients paying the middle-man again? Because of their fancy bachelor degree?! Because they know the best cost-effective care for my patient? Because they even CARE about my patient's well-being? Hmmmmmm... - Mason > sounds like you are interested in being an " insurance company. " I > think there are some legal ramifications to your ideas.... Guest guest
I have a question for Lawrence Lyon (and anyone interested): I remember that you have written about your billing service recently, but can't find it in the archives. I am opening my doors June 1, and haven't decided on how I will file claims. I'm thinking it may make the most sense to use a billing service - you seemed happy with yours. I'm wondering what the fees are, in what format you send information and how you send it, and who you are using? Wilterding (jwilterding@...) Guest guest
For those using Amazing Charts, do they have practice management, scheduling, billing tools interfaced with their EMR?
