Dear Sue,

My TEDS are quite snug on the lower leg where I get the EN, but seem

to slip down on the thigh. I will next try the short ones you are

using. I don't have any vascular condition that I know of. My EN

usually forms in 3 different lumps from above the ankle to below the

calf on the inside of the left leg. So the shorter TEDS would have it

well covered.

I will continue to wear the TEDS during a flare-up too, as I know they

will keep the edema down. I had tried to start using them once I was

flared -up, and I was too swollen to put them on.

If you've gone without an EN flare -up for a year, shouldn't you be on

our " cured member " File? I hope to be there some day myself!

Love,

(idiopathic EN)

Well, since EN was one of the diagnoses being considered, I joined the

group. But biopsies etc. ended up proving positive for lupus (both discoid

and systemic) and panniculitis as being the cause of my itchy, rashy swollen

left leg - hence my referring to my case as EN-like rather than true EN...

so it doesn't seem right to consider myself as a " cure. "

Sue

Dear Sue,

Yes, that would be " cheating " a bit ;-)

Have you checked out the info we have on lupus? I just added some

interesting Links. So often these autoimmune disorders have common

threads.

I certainly am glad you are part of this group and have given us all

so much useful info especially on the compression storckings (which

are becoming my " best friends) " .

Love,
