Guest guest
My son has been drinking baking soda for a long time for acid reflux & something the Dr. told him to use --- I finally talked him into trying the apple cider vinegar protocol & he is amazed . He can sleep at night --turn on either side & has no problem during the day... & this is only after 3 days..{they say after 1 year it is totally cured} {first day he saw some results} This is what he did--- Took 1 TBL spoon of apple cider vinegar ( not white vinegar & it was just over the counter from the grocery store. I know some say you need to use the unpasteurized cider vinegar with mother in it but we didn't } He put it in some cranberry juice & drank it down...Dan is so pleased at the results !! He has been bothered for years & finally decided to try what I suggested..{{ doggone kids --they never listen }} :-) grin .What I did ---was make the old " Ginger beer " that we used in the fields when it was hot & we were doing hey or other crops..{{old canning jar with ice { ( 1 TBL sp ginger ---2 TBLsp vinegar, 2 TBL sps honey in 1 quart of water { We didn't usually measure--just dumped it in the jar--}} .. I haven't had any stomach problems since I started drinking that a couple times a week... Lois { If you google it you can find other recipees but it really does work}
Guest guest
Right on with the vinegar method. Just the opposite of what you might think. I helped a lady at my church cure herself of acid reflux by telling her about the apple cider vinegar method. All baking soda does is relieve it for a little while. It also dilutes your stomach acid so that you cannot properly extract all of the nutrition from the food you eat. This will set you up for long-term problems stemming from that lack of nutrition, in my opinion. You would think a doc could figure that out without seeing it in a textbook, even tho likely, it is not in a textbook that he was required to learn for his med degree. Only thing I take is a prostate supplement in AM due to my age, and a magnesium oxide tablet at bedtime. I take the mag supplement at night so that I will not dilute my stomach acid during the daytime meals cycles. (I do take several vitamins, etc in winter time because we are not getting to eat from our own garden then. If I had a heated greenhouse, my oh my, how wonderful that would be! Year-round delicious veggies and fewer bugs too in wintertime.) Just my 2 cents.....
