They took blood, xrays, urine and and ultrasound. My back, say, across the bra strap area, has been seizing up for the last week or so to where I cannot move or breathe. The pain is horrendous. I will be calling my dr in a few to see if she has any results from the ultrasound. I wish I had had your email yesterday to take with me to ER. Guest guest Posted October 22, 2008 Report Share Posted October 22, 2008 Cheryl, hi, i would llike to let you know that i had experienced the same thing you went through. the pain on my back was really bad, and i can't move at all. same location as yours across the bra strap. i was rushed to the ER and was given morphine for the pain. They also took blood, urine and like more than 10 x-rays on me. but i didn't have the ultrasound. this all happened to me May of this year. i was in the hospital for a week. i was diagnosed with having scoliosis, osteophytes and osteoporosis. the drs told me my vertebra had developed spurs and the spaces in between are shrinking. only celebrex relieved the pain. the morphine did not. the drs also told me i needed food rich in calcium and a lot of sun exposure. i was told not to take calcium supplements because most of it will end up in my liver. lately i am having backpains again and my asthma is getting worse. i really don't know if the two are related or its just a coincidence.
