Guest guest
It is nice to find a group at last – Hello to all! I've had the hasimoto's condition for two years I was diagnosed when my son was about six months old at the age of 34. I initially thought I had carpel tunnel syndrome. So it was a shock to discover I have an `autoimmune condition' and to suddenly become reliant on medication. I take levothyroxine 125mcg, avoid wheat, (confirmed intolerance by a private GP) and try to keep my iron levels up as they were getting a little low for a while. The physical problems seem mainly to be in my shoulder area – soreness, pain, a perpetual ache, I am waiting to get treatment for this – but wonder if anyone else has experience of muscle problems…? More recently over the past few weeks I have noticed that my ears are popping; like a sensation of pressure around my neck and head, this is now accompanied by a very unreal dizzy sensation like the room is spinning, which is very disorientating, and worrying. I asked my doctor about it recently and was advised that I probably had something viral. I'm going back again to follow things up I just wondered if it sounds symptomatic of Hashi's in any way? I think I'm at another low point with this, of course I could have something viral that will soon remedy itself, it's just that I'm getting the anxiety feelings and feel in need of some reassurance. My new doctor does not seem very interested in this condition and it is good to know that there are kind listening ears out there, Looking forward to getting to know you better, Fi, Brighton , UK
