Hello Everybody,

Seeing such a drastic lull in the number of emails penned out here...I am

requesting everyone, to kindly adhere to one simple, UNWRITTEN RULE..

And that is..To kindly contribute atleast one article, once a fortnight..to

stimulate the minds of the others, to begin a good round of discussions, comments

etc on that topic, thereby keeping this active website, ticking always..

Wondering,where's Ravin and his Poems.??..

Where's Tarvinderji and his shayaris?.

Where is everybody,for that matter??!!..

Well,Let me start..with a Query for everyone..

With,Rampant Looting, vandalism, mob violence, corruption at its peak in Indian

setting.

With Politicians shamelessly misusing their positions to hurl abuses and

counterabuses, on national stages..

With Infrastructure like the Metrobridgework in Delhi..etc crumbling due to lack

of safety measures..

With rainwaters clogging the financial capital of the country, during each

episodes of rains..and the dreams of making it the SHANGHAI,of India..going down

the drains, due to corrupt politicians-builder nexus, leaving no inch of space, for

the water to drain. and people often having to wade thru murky, gutter water..and

yet having to keep their smiles intact....

With adulteration, in each and every foodstuff, including one's daily Milk and

Dairy products, exposed on National TV,each single day..

With Hooch killings,in full spree...

With each activitists NGOs...along with Top-Filmstars and personalities blocking

efforts at building Dams and at Harvesting Wind and Nuclear energy..

With nothing getting being done, without offering bribes..

With,so many swindlers making off with people's hard earned money, under the

guise of triplicating it and law unable to give instant punishment..

And with police and law enforcement official clueless still, one year more after

many sensational murders in India's capital...

I seriously begin to wonder, what many others tend to often want me to

That...

Is India...the same old beautiful,re-emerging,Economy.....where one would

describe it..as

HOTON MEIN SACHAI REHTI HAIN.

HUM US DESH KE VAASI HAIN..

..JIS DESH MEIN GANGA BEHTI HAIN..

Or the India of today, that we see..and hear...makes every Indian..sing....

" DUNIYA(Read as India ) MEIN AAYEIN TO ....JEENA HI PADENGA..

JEEVAN HAIN Agar ZEHAR,TO PEENA HI PADENGA.. "

Kindly comment..dear friends..

Bye

I'm Glad You're in My Dash

>

> I read of a man who stood to speak

> At the funeral of a friend.

> He referred to the dates on her tombstone,

> From the beginning... to the end.

> He noted that first came her date of birth

> And spoke the following date with tears,

> But he said what mattered most of all

> Was the dash between those years.

> (1934 - 1998)

> For that dash represents all the time

> That she spent alive on earth...

> And now only those who loved her,

> Know what that little line is worth.

> For it matters not, how much we own;

> The cars...the house...the cash,

> What matters is how we live and love

> And how we spend our dash.

> So think about this long and hard...

> Are there things you'd like to change?

> For you never know how much time is left,

> That can still be rearranged.

> If we could just slow down enough

> To consider what's true and real,

> And always try to understand

> The way other people feel

> And be less quick to anger,

> And show appreciation more

> And love the people in our lives

> Like we've never loved before.

> If we treat each other with respect,

> And more often wear a smile.

> Remembering that this special dash

> Might only last a little while.

> So, when your eulogy's being read

> With your life's actions to rehash...

> Would you be proud of the things they say

> About how you spent your dash?

>

> I am glad that you're in my life and part of my dash.

>

>

>

> From My dash to yours.

> Laugh long, live long,

> Yesterday is history

> Tomorrow is a mystery

> Today is a GIFT
