Guest guest
Finally! After more time than I care to think about, Daryl came home yesterday! He arrived safely yesterday afternoon and I just can't tell you how thrilled and relieved I am. He's looking GREAT! Now that the horrible nasogastric tube is out, he's eating like a horse! Just in a few hours yesterday he ate biscuits, fresh summer fruit, steak, potatoes and asparagus for dinner. I think he's loving the flavours after months of bland hospital food. Daryl is just so glad to be home, he walked round and around just taking everything in. Secretly I think he was convinced that he might never see home again. " Everything looks so different! " he kept saying yesterday. Well, yes, the garden is blooming, there are small changes to the house, the Christmas Tree is up and there are gifts under it, " Welcome Home " banners everywhere! etc, etc. Just to be able to roll over in bed last night and put my arm around him was enough to almost make me cry. Yes, I cried tears of joy yesterday as he sat on the bed I never thought he'd sit on again. I'm writing this early morning, noone's awake but me. I wonder what time he'll wake today? And he won't have to fight the hospital staff to keep hold of his breakfast tray for longer than 20 minutes anymore! Merry Christmas everyone! And yes, miracles do happen, I can swear to that! Love anne The more you give love, the more you have the ability to love.

Guest guest
I don't post a lot, but I just had to write and say: what a Christmas blessing! I'm so happy you are together under one roof again! Pat > Finally! After more time than I care to think about, Daryl came home yesterday!
