Thanks for the information and website. I will check it out.

LOL...Count yourself as a very lucky lady if you've never had the wonderful thrill of the dreaded night sweats....They absolutely drive me nuts...

I am so amazed that you have had EN for 36 years....! Until I got on this website, I thought my EN would get well and never come back. Does it always come back??

None of my doctors have told me this, and I find this so depressing.....Ugh....The thought of living with these lumps... 36 YEARS! I would have pulled my hair out by then! LOL!

Thanks again for all of your great info, ...

Jo

Dear Jo,Here is a good link on EN. It doesn't specify night sweats as asymptom. I have never had sweats except the one time after my 18 daysof high fever (probably unrelated to EN) broke. I am nearly 57 andstill waiting for menopause. No night sweats yet or any symptoms tospeak of.http://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/bhcv2/bhcarticles.nsf/pages/Erythema_nodosum?openI just thought of this new theory, so I haven't spoken to my dr. aboutit yet. I haven't got a specialist for EN. I have had EN for 36 yearsand know how to treat myself since I do not need meds to go intoremission. I will indeed mention it to my ob/gyn when I next see him.He says he has learned more about EN from me than he ever knew ;-)Have a Good night,

Hi ....

I must be one of those chronic cases that you are talking about. Best of luck to you in solving the puzzle. It is definitely a mess!

Dear Jo,Well I did have the 3 months of drenching night sweats when Irecovered from the 18 days of high fever, so I do know a bit of whatthat's like. That was 27 yars ago. I imagine once I hit menopause Iwill get the sweats again :-(I Have no idea if I ever will stop getting EN flare ups. I do go intoremissions, so it isn't like a steady diet of EN. Many people get onlyone bout of EN, but there are the chronic cases like us who go in andout of remission. I still have hopes of solving the EN puzzle in mylifetime. Love,

Dear Joe & ,

I was doing good until I started taking Prednisone and Plaquinil and then the night sweats and hot flashes started coming often. I spoke to the doctor about this and she said it could be the medicine. Are you taking anything for your EN? I had already been through menapause and no hot flashes until the medicine.

Dear Jackie...

Thanks for the information! Yes, I am taking Prednisone, so maybe that is the culprit for the increased amount of night sweats. Hmmmmm....Most interesting!

Thanks again for sharing that information, I will talk to my doctor next time I see him.
