Guest guest
You are taking Nuerontin Greetings Make me number three! Is that your lucky number:) I take 1700mg Neurontin daily for seizures, but believe it is also helping some pain I am having that I do not know about.(does that make sense)? I have never had a suicidal thought in my life. Most of the time suicidal thoughts with drugs are unfounded, and very hard or impossible to prove. This is just what I think I know, remember to stress the think word.LOL Love, Jim
Guest guest
Dear Jim, The TV ad I saw was sponsored by an attorney looking for customers who were injured by Nerontin. My friend who takes neurontin tried to commit suicide before he began the drug. He jumped into a shallow lake in the park but couldn't drown. So he walked home soaked and laughed it off. He never tried it again :-) He's doing quite well now and happier than he's been in a long time. Guest guest
Greetings My best friend committed suicide in 1992. This was a mojor stress factor that made my disease come out full force. Well a lot of people think that. There is a lawsuit against the drug co. that makes neurontin. Supposedly they are paying doctors to over prescribe neurontin and also prescrible it for off label use? Guest guest
I recently was taken off of Neurontin by my request. I was first put on it it back in 1999 to help with mood swings and at the same time for pain caused by a damaged nerve. Over the wears, certain Pain Mangement doctors I had seen kept increasing. Before I started the Neronontin, I tried commiting suicide, while on it I tried as well. I don't blame the neurontin. When I was taken of it in April, I was up to 3600mg a day for pain. I had no suicidal thoughts since 2001 and at that time I did OD on Neurontin. I choose to get taken off of it for I found that if it was not taken at the right time daily, I became extremely ill the next day. I have never had seizures before, but felt like I was on the verge of one after I missed my Neurontin by 4 hours. That really scared me and I knew it was time to be taken off. I do miss it for it really helped with the neroapthy pain I have. Even the Norco (narcotic) and Baclofen (anti-spasm) meds don't work as well as the Neurontin; however, I will not ever go back on it again.
