Please pass this on to any friends you think would be interested. Thanks!! Garnet =============================== Pyrroluria Yahoo List http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Pyrroluria/ Subscribe: Pyrroluria-subscribe The purpose of this list is to share information, experiences and support each other in the exploration of a little documented condition commonly called PYRROLURIA . Because heme synthesis is involved some feel it should be included as a form of Acute Intermittent Porphyria. This condition is associated with many degenerative conditions and disorders: Autism, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, Fibromyalgia, Mood Disorders, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Cancer and Heart Disease to name a few. Until there is a body of peer reviewed scientific literature to prove beyond a doubt both the existence of the disease and efficacy of proposed treatments, such conditions are relegated to the category of psuedo-diseases and considered fringe by mainstream practitioners and investigators. With this in mind it is not surprising that patients resort to the exceptionally talented pool of holistic practitioners for help with diagnosis and treatment. For their dedication and perseverance we are eternally grateful. Thought to result from elevated Kryptopyrrole [2,4-dimethyl-3-ethylpyrrole] or Hemepyrrole [3-ethyl-5-hydroxy-4,5-dimethyl-delta 3-pyrroline-2-one] poor tolerance to physical and emotional stress are associated with the detection of Kryptopyrrolactam and Hemopyrrolactam in the urine. The symptoms of excess urinary kryptopyrrole first manifest themselves as behavioral abnormalities. Although children tend to be more easily diagnosed than adults symptoms range from behavioral, drug and chemical sensitivity, mood swings, depression, sensitivity to light, noise, tactile stimuli, chronic schizophrenia, pain, seizures, adrenal tenderness on deep palpation, physical debilitation, paranoia and even certain types of criminal behavior. Malvaria,Pyroluria, Pyrroluria, Pyrolleuria, Pyrrole Disorder, Elevated Kryptopyrrole, B6 & Zinc Deficiency are associated terms. Urinary pyrroles have several names: mauve factor, kryptopyrrole, hemopyrrole, indole, and hydroxyhemopyrrolenone.
