Guest guest
Hello! I'm seeing a 24 yof for hypothyroidism. She has been on BTGs and UNDAs 1, 20, 243 for one month, and has seen significant improvement in all areas of her complaints, which we're both thrilled at, and which I expect to continue. Incidentally, she also has a history of meningitis as a child, which resulted in hearing loss; she now has two hearing aids, and speaks well, though audibly different. Might it be possible to employ organotherapy to help her regain hearing? I'm seeing literature that says the cochlea is mainly the site of hearing loss, although some articles are pointing to damage to the vestibulocochlear nerve as the etiology. Is it worth offering to the patient, or am I being too idealistic? Isaacs, ND, DC Arvada, CO
