Guest guest
, you are not just " hearing things " . I, too, have been hearing these " popping " sounds from time to time in the front of my neck for about a year now. It is NOT in the upper spine. Just sometimes, when I turn my head, it feels like something got caught just momentarily in the front of my neck, just enough to make a crunch or a pop, like a creaky joint or something. Sometimes it's hard enough to hurt just for a moment, other times it isn't. It's got to have something to do with the thyroid, since it isn't the spine. I mean, what the heck else is in that area?! It's only been since I've had more swelling of the thyroid, my voice has also been gratier, with pain in the area of the thyroid that is relieved by the ibuprophen, and all of it began at the same time within that time frame. Tx can anyone " hear " their thyroid?? > Hi everyone... as I mentioned in a previous post, I'm coming off a > work rollercoaster.. and I've noticed the last couple of stressful > weeks that I'm starting to hear this sound again more and more > when I move my neck and I feel like my nodule is growing a bit > larger. I'm still not very concerned... one endo wanted me to have > an ultrasound but backed off when I told him I can't really afford > expensive tests unless they are really necessary, my current > endo says these nodules are totally normal and if I can breathe > OK, it's nothing to be worried about. Just wondering if anyone > else can " hear " something that wasn't there before when you > move your neck? It's hard to describe the sound.. please don't > think I'm nuts lol... it's just like a joint/ligament noise I guess... > kind of crackly.. > > (with the Noisy Neck)
Guest guest
I get the sound and if I miss a dose of thyroid pills (even by an hour) I'll have stabbing pains in my thyroid for the next week. No I don't have any nodules but I have a very swollen thyroid from Hashimotos.
