Guest guest
Dear Kim and Group, Thanks for the completed Questionnaire. I am posting it below and adding it to our Member Medical History Files on the Group site. YOu are now approved for full EN Group privileges. Sometimes a bacteria or fungus can cause EN, so it is possible that your daughter was infected from the jellyfish bite, or walking on the shells. It is unusual to get EN on the bottom of the foot, but it is a variation I am aware of. The strep test is one of the first tests to get as strep is a very common cause of EN especially (since no drugs or hormones were involved in your daughters case.) Keep us posted on what the tests show and how your daughter is doing. Love, ************** 1. Your name: Kim Gibson 2. your daugher's age: 9 3. Your location: Eastern Shore Delaware 4. Your email address: eshorebengals@y... 5. Your Yahoo ID:eshorebengals 6. Describe your daughter's erythema nodosum symptoms. She's got red bumps/patches on her left foot ..mostly the bottom or on the side of her instep. She says they hurt and it's hard to walk with them. The one on the instep is pretty pronounced. Her foot is very sensitive to the touch and she likes when I put Biofreeze on it ..has a cooling effect. It was recommended that we use Benedryl but she said that didn't do anything. 7. List any other health conditions your daughter has No other problems except for a perforated ear drum that she's being followed for. 8. State what medications your daugheter takes: no meds 9. When did your daughter first get erythema nodosum? She was at the beach a little over a week ago and was stung by a jelly fish on the inside of her right thigh. She said she did step on some old muscle shells on the beach but there isn't anything on the other foot. The diagnosis was from yesterday ..well the doctor is suspecting this. He took a strep culture and ran some labs and also was given a ppd shot. 10. How long ha your daughter had erythema nodosum? these marks have been on her foot a little over a week. 11. Do you agree to treat all EN members with respect? Of course ..yes 12.Do you agree to post NO advertisements for any products or services? Yes 13. Guest guest
Hi ..thank you for all the warm welcomes! I'm not really sure at this point if it is in fact EN that my daughter has! The bumps/marks are fading pretty quick ..still some pain, not nearly as much though. Her feet look almost normal except for the one bump on the side of her instep. Used Hydrocortisone cream last night on her foot for first time ..didn't get a chance to look this morning how things were. She did say the Motrin I was giving her helped ...and she only gets that in the morning. I know she's moving around alot better also. I also gave her some Apis (homeopathic remedy) and hoping helped. I've had great success with homeopathic remedies for many things ..so hoping can nail this one too! I'll remain with the group for awhile if that's okay ...sure is a nice bunch!
