Guest guest
Personally, I would refer her. She is not open to our medicine and will therefore ‘prove’ that Naturopathic medicine does not work. Ultimately, I have found that these patients respect me more for explaining what our medicine is and why I think they would have a better fit with a different doctor. I am not sure how to treat her as she cannot swallow pills, hates to take liquids or really anything and forgets to use the progesterone cream. She has concomitant subclinical hypothyroidism that I think is due to adrenal and iodine insufficiency. She has all many of the SSX of these conditions which compounds the problem by making her irritable, forgetful, etc. I would like to " slip " her some UNDAs in her water, as she is against homeopathy (against her " common-sense " and Christian beliefs), but feel this would not be right. She is, however, open to taking little white pharmaceutical pills so I was think perhaps starting her on OBC (The Pill!)OMG! .... just to get her functioning and less cantankerous. Is there a better quality version of BC out there with perhaps prometrium and better estrogens? I cannot find anything in Tori's book on Womens Health and have never come across anything Experience? Ideas? Thanks a bunch for anything here, Brad West, ND Santa Cruz/San, Calif.
