Guest guest
Hi everyone, Sorry I haven't been around. Still in a lot of discomfort after my ER visit last week. I see my pain management doc on Friday so hoping things will get better. Today at work was a very sad a drepressing day. This is where I'm asking for several prayer requests. First, my grandmother was admitted to the CCU unit during my shift. Currently she is on a BiPap and is requesting not to be intubated. There is a chance she will be by tomorrow morning. Unfortunately, this all stems from a nurses mistake back in February at the same hospital. My grandmother has been in and out of the hospital with the longest stay of 3mths and also in the nursing home. She finally has been home for over a month but has not gone back to work. She is 81 but still held a full time secretary job which she loved and feels she will never get back to. I never seen my grandmother look as bad as she did tonight. Though I've worked in hospitals now for 7years, I lost it. Not in front of her for I know we have to stay strong. I'm really scared of loosing her. Second, my co-worker from 1st shift mother was admitted shortly after my grandmother with an slight heart attack. She just lost her father about 2 months ago. Third, my co-worker from third shift (I work second so I get to see everyone) had surgery for tongue cancer back in October. Her neck started swelling last week and she had two more biopsies done. She got the results back today and the cancer is back and is even worst. She has not told her family. All three of her children are grown, but she is scared to tell them. I'm so scared for her. My brother- in-law's 42 year old sister dropped dead in a store last summer 1 week after having a trach removed that was placed temporarily in for the same surgery and cancer that my co-worker has. I'm really scared for her as well. All I've done this evening after I got home from work is cried. It is not doing me any good for it is making my pain worst. Talking about things that come in three. I just pray that tomorrow is a better day for all three of them. Zoo
Guest guest
Dear Zoo, Prayers have been said for your Grandmother and co-workers. This is the kind of stress we have no conrol over, but once prayers are said, it's best to rest assured that our prayers will be heard and that everything will work out for the best. Try and be strong! I spoke with my Aunt n yesterday. She is home now. She is feeing better since the mastectomy surgery and made an appt. with the Cleveland Clinic for her leg pain. Her children are not optimistic, but she is. I sent her info on the " disc cure " which treats spinal disc problems without surgery. They are located in L.A. and have a wonderful track record. If her problem is discs, and a non surgical treatment can help her, she may go for it. She is tired of being doped up on heavy duty pain meds. Love,
