Guest guest Posted January 1, 2001 Report Share Posted January 1, 2001 I add the salt to stock later when I'm using the stock for other things, not when I'm first making the stock. Regarding the porridge, I add the water and everything and cook it. Then if there's any left over I just leave it sitting out on the counter.
