Guest guest
I might as well jump on board while this topic is open! I am a 3rd year medical student beginning to search in earnest for a residency program that will support my " special needs " (as a residency director told me recently!) to practice NFP-only. I will hopefully be completing phase one of the medical consultant training at Pope VI this fall. I am aware of the residency database on the One More Soul website and have several friends in OB/GYN currently, but I am VERY open to any suggestions that any of you have as far as " good " residencies. I am a DO student, but open to going to an MD program. Thank you in advance for your help! Tue Feb 5, 2008 1:46 pm (PST) I received a phone call this afternoon from a medical student at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioethics (formerly the Osteopathic School of Medicine). The school has a shortage of residency placements for Ob-Gyn, and are allowing her to find her own. She is searching for an NFP only Ob-Gyn doctor for her to complete her Ob-Gyn residency. This school is not real friendly to NFP, so them allowing her to find her own residency is a blessing. She is living here in Kansas City, and is willing to travel for the residency, so all situations will be considered. Respond off list to me, and I will forward to her. Also, how do I get an invitation for her to join the list? She could use the support.... Tue Feb 5, 2008 2:23 pm (PST) We have a DO ob/gyn residency program at Saint Hospital in Oklahoma City. I am one of the attendings and hoping to recruit NFP-only residents. I don't know if the program here has filled, but the director is Ray Deiter, DO. I really hope, by being on the faculty, to push towards dual accreditation in MD/DO. Our family medicine residency here is Christian-based and attracts NFP-only residents whom I also teach.
