I have been reading about male hormones and health. I learned that PSA is made in prostate and breast tissue. And the actions of PSA is to inhibit angiogenesis ehan abnormal growth of cells. It is anit-cancer since cancer cells induce angiogenesis PSA inhibits it to control abnormal growth.

I would do saliva testing to see estrogen, progesteron and testosterone in your patient. Many times thir estrogen is too high which is a cell proliferator. But progesterone and testosterone activates a gene protector. So he may be estrogen dominance and low in progesterone and testosterone. Ofcourse you may not be able to give testosterone because his MD is trying to decrease it. But you could do progesterone cream or suppositories. In a bio-identical hormone conference I went they said that the progesterone will decrease the PSA in around 6 weeks the dose is 20mg/d which is a 1/4 tsp/d

I hope this is helpfull and maybe their is a reason that UNDAS increse PSA as a protector.

Dear Unda Group,I was just following a thread of conversation back in October of '06 we had, when a few practitioners noticed that sometimes PSA numbers increase with drainers. I want to educate my client in advance so if this does occur he will understand. Is the rationale for this that the tissues are releasing PSA into the blood stream, and as the tissues clear the PSA level will drop? I just started working with a gentleman who is finding his PSA continued to rise after prostatectomy, and would like to avoid another bout of lupron.Thank you in advance for your insight.Regards,,
