Guest guest
Good to know about Listerine repelling bugs. If you hang the bags at no more than four feet high it is suppose to work much better since that is more in the normal flight path of the fly. The compound eyes they have are confused by the sunlight reflecting off the bags. Lots of outdoor patio restaurants use them here in Central Texas. Most of them have very few if any flies, I see them using a quart size plastic bag mostly. Mint is suppose to help repel them and is easy to grow in containers so it can be moved around. Our Indian Runner Ducks loved hunting them and were very good at it. They eliminated wasps, fire ants (95%), scorpions, and put a big dent in the flies. Course they also would eat the tender garden plants and even some of the tougher plants if all else was dried up or consumed, hence the need to use wire cages.
