Guest guest
Thanks to all who responded.Re: bromelain/papain - wasn't sure I'd get as much bang for my buck as i would with the proteolytics.Dr. Cosgrove (of NaturPharm) had this to say (for any interested):For 20 years we have manufactured a line of non-animal enzymes that meet the same quality control requirements as for any prescription pharmaceutical in Canada; which means that there is no fungi or bacteria in the finished product, regardless that it is fungal or bacteria derived. Some Canadian companies have tried to skirt this manufacturing requirement by claiming that non-animal or “plant enzymes” are foods and therefore use the manufacturing guidelines for foods. This level of mfg could allow for contamination and be of potential concern for your patient. We do not and have never practiced this kind of obfuscation.
