I just looked and the Files section is there, went to it and open a

folder, all

working just fine.

Let me know if you check again and it's not there. Yahoo has many instances

of server glitches, or it could have been in maintenance mode. Who knows

with Yahoo ?

Huh! That's so strange. Thanks for checking, Garnet.

I'm posting as I write this from the group page and looking at it right now, and

there's no Files section listed. All I see on the left where it should be is:

Home

Messages

Database

I'm subbed to loads of yahoo groups and have never had this problem before. I

tried loading the page in another browser and still nothing.

Anyone else having this problem?

I just did the same as Elan. No files section for me, either!

with Firefox.

It's totally weird Chuck. I could see them, but then I go to thinking

that could be since I am the list owner and the settings are for

only mods to be able to upload files or links. That's when I took

a look at the options and found that there was one between where

it was set and allowing members to upload.

BTW I have set it to member uploading before but then some of my files

disappeared !

So at any rate the problem is solved although the reason still remains

a mystery as you were able to view them before I made the adjustments.

Yahoo is a strange and wondrous land with many mysteries.

No, I was definitely logged in, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to send that

post from the group home page like I did.

Even if you're not logged into any given group, you can still see whether or not

there are files/links/photos etc. sections listed in that group. You just can't

click on and open them unless you're logged in and subscribed to that particular

group.

Amen to that! And, it's at least a wee bit dysfunctional and confounding at

times too.

Yet if you know where to look and how to use it, it can be a vast, deep and

completely one-of-a-kind resource for tapping into an illuminating slice of the

knowledge, wisdom and expertise of the collective human consciousness.

I've learned so much over the years from the folks on yahoogroups. And for all

its faults I'm so glad it, along with all its generous and knowledgeable

members, is here.

Thanks again, Garnet, for fiddling with the settings so we all once again have

access to the unique resources archived in this group's files & links sections.
