Guest guest
I understand peak alpha is best at 10 or even a bit over 10 in adults but that brain activity tends to be somewhat slower in children. Is Alpha at 8.2 to 8.6 too low for a 9 year old? The rest of the profile indicates adequate Beta frequency but lower than average overall 2-38Hz peak frequency. Alpha /theta ratios are high, most likely because of lower peak alpha, theta looks all right. Neuropsychological assessment and behavior questionnaires do indicate mild attention difficulties with occasional impulive responding as well as mild difficulties with rote auditory recall in an otherwise average to high avere I.Q. profile and average academic performance except for below average quantity and quality of written text production (reading, math and spelling are o.k.). Feedback is much appreciated as I am quite new at this. Céline Côté Ph.D., C.Psych.
