Dear Group,

My head is spinning from some of you.

Have been absent only 5 days,

and come back to find medical mutiny!

:) Larry and have upped

their dosage of thyroid hormone, while Debbie

has contemplated stopping

hers. (BTW Debbie - synthetic T4 stays

in the system for about 4-6 days,

so you may *not* notice immediate hypo symptoms.)

And you, Sheila...

WILL YOU PLEASE CALL YOUR DOC, and get those

results? Also, some

answers for your continual bleeding.

I realize that many/most folks in our happy

Group have doctors that are

legally certified morons. Just the same,

tinkering with thyroid med

dosages is *not* a good idea. It can

cause serious consequences.

I also realize it is *very difficult* finding

a doctor that knows/cares

about thyroid patients. PLEASE CONSIDER

SOME OF THESE OPTIONS:

A) If you're looking for a doc that is open-minded

about treatment

options, phone the offices of Osteopath's...

instead of MD's.

B) If you wish to try treatment with Armour,

check the Armour/Forest

Labs web site. They have a list of doctors,

but again, phone the office

*before* scheduling an appointment - and speak

with his nurse.

(Forest Lab's list may... or may not... be

accurate!)

C) In many States, naturopathic doctors (ND's)

are permitted to write

Rx's for Armour - because it's natural.

Phone their office for details.

I'm on... YOUR SIDE, but feel compelled to

scold you (just a little) for

tackling thyroid problems on your own BECAUSE

I CARE! <REALLY!>

Hugs,

Genie
