Hi

I'm new to the site, my post was right after yours and I read this. I

have to mention that when my son now 6 was 2 1/2 he was in the

hospital with CMV, HSV, Thrush and what I remember the most was the

bug bite looking rash from head to toe. We still have pictures from

that time. Face and cheeks red, arms around the elbows especially,

legs. I just thought I would let you know what I remember. Hope it

helps. Good Luck and Big Hug to your son.

Therapy, well no, this was before we knew what we were dealing with

at all. I'm not sure why he got so deathly sick back then (vaccines?)

Adam was 2 1/2. He was normal developing up to age 2 or so. Then he

started giving the signs. He was our only son so we couldnt compare

him to what he should have been like. After the hospital he came

home and within a year he was diagnosed with ASD. Severe, no

language just babble. If you read my post it fills you in. I guess

when I read your post as my first one I thought " Oh my Gosh " I just

remember what he looked like back then. Bug bites all over. I am

doing research to start this type of therapy. I will keep the group

posted with how it goes. Sorry if I confused you about whether he

was on therapy or not, I just will never ever forget the way he

looked. I also remember Adam having lots and lots of cold sores that

we would have to put a dental paste like stuff on for gosh a year or

so after. Take care

I'm sorry. It was a long time ago and I don't remember the rash exactly. I can tell you that it didn't look like bug bites because my son recently got a rash like that and I had never seen that type on him before. It happened to be in an area where he had a rash previously and my husband applied his LDN to that area and the next day he had a rash, so I am thinking it's viral in nature. I alternated topical Benadryl/Aquaphor & Tea Tree Oil Ointment on it because it was itchy and the area is faded today, no "bug bites", but still a dry patch there.... I want to say that his Lauricidin rash was more like skin-colored and red dots just because that is the type I recall from the past. I do know for certain that it faded after a few days.
