Guest guest
Sorry Shan, but anaphylactic allergies, which I’ve dealt with as a result of having ME, are NOT “healing reactions”, as this article says about allergies in general. In fact they are life-threatening. And hives can be an early warning of being on the road to anaphylaxis. Therefore, while there is some good information in this article, I wouldn’t bet my life on it! Aylwin xox
Guest guest
You are right Bobbie! Remember anyone can post the most absolute weird things online so take it all with a grain of salt. Some of the stuff I have read is beyond belief. I had anaphylactic shock to kiwi and had to go to the ER. I am supposed to carry an epi-pen too especially for bee stings. Guest guest
Hi Diane, I also react badly to the adrenaline in these injections - my blood pressure goes down scary low. It know it is a recognised problem with people with ME/CFS, but I have never found out why. I have never yet met a Doctor who understands, but I have found that dentists are often aware of the problem. I have to have the injection without the adrenaline but because the adrenalin is there to slow down the absorption (to avoid toxic shock) I have to have it administered very slowly. Does anyone know why this is a problem for us and why we react this way? Rosemary.
