Guest guest
Re: Voice.... My husband can't talk much either.. Occasionally he will say something in a phrase, such as " you bettcha " or " good morning " otherwise nothing else.. The neurologist said this will happen because that section of the brain is affected. Usually when I first get to the nursing home, he will rattle on about something, of which I can't understand.. (he's excited).. then he goes into the " shell " and nothing else. Ellie S.
Guest guest
My husband, in the early stages, talks softly and also sometimes changes words. He used to have a very resonant voice. Now he sort of mumbles. Imelda
Guest guest
thanks so much for the responses and the welcome, everyone. it is comforting in a way to know other people can relate, although also sad. in addition to the quiet voice, my dad also struggles, and usually fails, to find the words he is looking for. if i guess the word he is looking for , though, he recognizes it and is happy. hope everyone is doing okay, take care, ann s.
