Dear Sandy,

Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. You saw a lousy doctor.

He obviously wanted to pawn you off on another doctor. I would say,

yes, try a rheumatologist, but first call and see if he/she has any

experience with EN as that is your concern. when (if?) you go to a

rheumatologist take some print outs of the EN links describing tests

with you. If money isn't the issue and the insurance will cover it,

let the doctor run blood work on many of the suspected culprits. It is

my own belief that so called idiopathic EN is simply EN that has not

been thoroughly investigated (including mine---which by the way is now

in the best remission in a long time).

Does anyone have any idea if bleach can kill of strep? I have been

using a dental bleaching gel to whiten the teeth and the gel sits on

the teeth held in place by a custom made tray for several hours a

day. If strep is the culprit, I wonder if this is killing it off. Two

for one sale: Get rid of EN and get a whiter smile?

Love,

I will think about seeing the referral. He also suggested Lymes

disease WITHOUT asking me any of the important questions. He worked

me into a frenzy. Right now I can live with the EN, it is the joint

pain that is restricting my activity.

Who knows, I will tak to my husband tonight. I though you were

suggesting that I drink bleach ;-) May not be a bad idea...

Thanks Sharon, I will actually keep going. I was off site at a

meeting today so I could not call. At this point, I am just looking

for a DR to prescribe Pred. and get me to a specialist. Things have

worsened since yesterday. I think was right, these little

bumps have already started to raise underneath. It is just not my

normal bumps so I was stumped. I am sooo glad to have found this

group.

Thank you all so much.

wrote everyone of them down. She then gave me business cards with

her phone number, fax number and address for each of my specialists.

She then asked me if she was to take care of the meds my specialist

were prescribing. I was in total shock. A doctor that would listen

and one that knew about EN and Sarcoidosis.
