And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful

than the risk it took to blossom.--Anais Nin

Growth:

Today’s power word reminds us that with change comes growth. Growth means

willingness to move in new directions, to take a leap of faith into the

unknown and try something different.

It is easy to get stuck in old patterns and routines that keep us

comfortable, but don’t necessarily push us to reach our fullest potential.

Look at your life as a walk up a beautiful mountain path. If you only look

to the peak you may get discouraged seeing only how far you have to go, if

you spend all your time looking back at what has gone before, you stop

walking. Today’s word reminds us that focusing on current steps leads us

naturally into opportunities for growth. Don’t resist the walk, throw

yourself into it and enjoy it. Shifting our focus can allow us to see the

growth potential within the present moment. Where has your attention been

focused lately?

Today’s Exercise:

Ask yourself, what do I do to hold myself down? Do you stay focused on all

that ‘could go wrong " or do you spend your time weighing future

possibilities on past experiences? What if's and past regrets always hinder

progress. Do what it takes today to focus on a goal and keep your thoughts

focused on what I can do now in this moment to move myself in the proper

direction.
