For those of you who haven't or can't read about the breakthrough findings

here is a Reno TV news interview with Annette Whittemore and Judy Mikovits

on the new virus. There are a lot of advertisements at the beginning but the

interview is very interesting. About 10 minutes.

Mikovits says XMRV is causal and may play a role in autism. We should be

able to treat it soon. Possible vaccine may be produced soon because it is a

simple retrovirus, unlike HIV.

If a person is infected with this retrovirus the following triggers will set

off cfs symptoms:

hormones

inflammatory cytokines

stress cortisol levels

other infections raising cytokines

vaccines which elevate cytokines - this may lead to autism if the person has

XMRV

Since this retrovirus is found in blood and tumors of some prostrate

sufferes and possibily linked to autism there will be a lot of money and

research. This is the biggest finding yet for CFS.

XMRV lives in B and T cells

I have seriously been crying all day after viewing this clip. My oldest son was

sick all his short life with one infection after another. He was

high-functioning autistic and died right before his 12th birthday from an asthma

attack. Finally some answers! Praise God!

I am sorry for all your pain but I hope that the information can give you

some peace. Loosing a child, I am told, is devastating...something that most

of us will never understand the pain that it brings.

May he rest in peace.

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your oldest son. So did I, though he was

almost 25 and died from complications after an auto accident. This time of year

it always bothers me more, even though it's almost been 17 years.
