Hi Robin,

This is Amber's mom. I have Crohn's disease so they

think. My blood comes back very close to yours. I have

to take vit B12 and Calcium with D because of the

disease. The problem with me is they have not found my

disease I have all the systems of Crohn's as well as

my blood tested almost 100% that I have Crohns. I just

took the Capsule Camera and I am hoping they find my

disease or they don't but then I will have to start

all over again if it's not crohn's then it will be

some other Autoimmune disease.

Do you have inflammation on the eyes? Do you have

Abdominal pain and diarrhea. Every time I eat any

bread I get diarrhea really bad all most as soon as I

eat it. It goes right though me. you may have Celiac

disease I was treated for this for 4 years so make

sure that you doctor stays on top of what's going on

with you. I have seen 8 different doctors and I

finally have a good one who runs so many test on me

but at least I can eat food now and I am gaining some

weight. I was wondering if you gain weight or are you

skinny. I am now 104 5'6 but I was around 95 pounds

last year when they started me on treatment.

Good luck,

Sharon

Robin,

I think I’m going to be trying

lovenox – stress of giving me a shot but I think I can get over that.

And not so many if any restrictions, plus I don’t think it will mess with

my thyroid meds as bad. Coumadin is known for messing with thyroids and

thyroid meds, making them stronger I believe. I’m still not on anything

other than nattokinase.

I wish I knew what was up with your blood

work. I hope they can get to the bottom of it for you and quickly.

I take a multi and I supplement with a b

complex. If we are deficent in something sometimes we have to take more to get

built up and then we can just rely on the multi’s for the vitamin/minerals.

How is everyone? I haven't noticed any new posts in

the past three

days. Micki, did you decide to try the coumadin again? If so, hows it

going? I hadn't responded to any of you inquiries about it, because I

don't have any info on it. As for me, my lab work again showed

abnormal blood work. Not only are my thyroid levels still off, but my

Alkaline Phosphate is too low, my MCV is too high, and my MCHC is too

low. This means a protien, B12, and iron deficiency. I saw a

gastrointologist who ordered more blood work and has scheduled me for a

colonoscopy on the 18th. He is looking for Celiac disease, Crohns, or

anyother inflammatory disease. He said that my blood work looked like

the blood work of a vegetarian and it looked similiar to Celiac

disease. I take and have been taken a prenatal vitamin everyday for

over a year (hoping it would give me more energy, healthier hair and

nails). This vitamin has a good supply of B12 and iron. I really

don't know why I would be showing a deficiency. I also eat meat all

the time. Does anyone know anything about this kinda problem?

Hi Robin,

You sound very close to what I do. I have been

suffering for many many years. Without much help from

the gastrointologist until last November when my new

gastro decided to run some blood test that were sent

to San Diego lab called Prometheus. This lab can run

test to tell with your blood which Crohn's cells or

ulcerative colitis cell you are mostly likely to have.

Because my blood came back high positive for Crohn's

on all 7 of the markers for this test. That is why he

is trying to find the disease. I am 46 years old. In

Feb 2006 I had to have a Hysterectomy when the doctor

went to take it out he found that my intestines were

clued to the Uterus. After the surgery time recovery I

started having problems with my bladder. I had to go

and have the scope done inside the bladder and that's

when they found inflammation all over the wall. This

is when my new Gastro decided to run the blood test

because he thought that I had signs of crohn's to him.

My blood test came back positive and I received a

phone call in November of 2006 and he told me the news

and started me on medicine right away. I did very well

for a few months then started to have problems eating

again. The eye problem is just like yours I did not

start this until this year though I have to use dry

eye drops now and I use them everyday or I can not see

because my eyes are so blurry as well as they hurt me

when I go outside with the sunlight. I have to wear

sunglasses even on cloudy days.

I hope that your doctor finds out what's going on

with you. There's a lot of information on Crohn's but

I would like you to wait and see what he finds out

before reading more. But if your like me you will most

likely read up because if I didn't I would of not

found out anything. I just keep telling the new

doctors something is wrong and I want more test done.

I am glad that I did. I have been sick since 1999. We

lived in a home in california that had black mold in

it. This is when I started to get sick and Amber did

the next year. We did not know that it was in the

walls until it was to late. We only lived in this

house for 6 months and look what it did. The doctor's

will not say it is from the mold but I know Amber was

a healthy young girl before we moved into that house

as well as me.

I know this is a lot of information but I want you to

stay on top of your health. Keep asking until you get

answers.

P.S. one of the other gastro put me on the gluten free

diet even though my test for Celiac came back neg. I

did much better on the diet but only for a while.

Because the flares would start up again. I have at

least 1 flare a day now. That's why I am on

Presdnizone. I am going to start azathioprine,

6-mercaptopurine and methotrexate. Because I have

been on the Presdnizone to long and it's starting to

hurt my other organs.

Keep me informed ok and good luck,

Sharon Amber's mom

Hi Robin,

I am wishing you good luck tomorrow morning. I will

check in and see how you did on Friday. My test

results for the capsule camera is still not done yet I

was told but I will be seeing the doctor in the

morning still. The Doctor will be starting me on

Imuran instead of the predn. I am hoping that Imuran

helps me. I am doing much better since I have been on

the predn. But I know that I have to go off this drug.

My father n law pasted away on Monday so I have been

helping the kids with missing Grandpa and there Dad

because his staying with his Mom to help with

everything. Very sad my youngest is only 11 year old

and is very close to Grandpa. But it was Cancer and

Grandpa was really suffering now his in a better place

and no more pain. Good luck to you and I will talk

with you tomorrow.

Robin,

You need to seriously look into eleminating gluten. It can cause

many functions to detrail. I had similar labs years ago and my GI

tests, like yours, showed i didn't have celiacs, either. The doctors

excused the weird labs. I also had many blood tests for gluten, with

no positive results and now know that it " doesn't " show up on blood

tests unless you have severe, even life threatening, allergies. You

could be like me and have a non-life threatening intolerance that

does all sorts of havoc on your system and makes you gradually sicker

and sicker.

My Vitamin B-12 and iron levels have improved with eating gluten-free

for the past year and a half.

In my opinion, it works this way: Hashi's is an autoimmune disease.

If we have it, then by default we have a weak immune system.

Next question to ask is why? In what I have read and learned in the

last 7 plus yrs, the three biggest causes of damage to an immune

system are clogged GI tract due to food intolerances and other gut

issues like parasites/bacteria/yeast/fungus/stealth infections, heavy

metals in our bodies such as mercury and aluminum, and poor dental

health. It is wise to look into all three.

I found many vitamin deficiencies in my body due to gluten

intolerances and GI problems as they both deplete your nutrition.

Hi all. I just wanted to take a sec to let you all know I haveescaped the hospital for the next couple of days anyway. The kidneysare not functioning at full force, but the creatnine levels havedropped a good bit since Thursday. So they are doing better. I haveto go back in Wednesday. Seems the prednisone withdrawal was theculprit. However, I was dumb enough to go to therapy this afternoonand now am in major pain. Didn't realize that exercise would makethem hurt. I hate that. I usually enjoy it. I am going to take anextra Xanax and lay down. See you all tomorrow.Madeline
