Hi Young Lady,

Very happy to read that you are feeling better

- and not suffering

side-effects from Cytomel. Then again,

you are taking a teeny tiny dose.

Follow your instincts ... s-l-o-w-l-y

increasing the dose.

Did "TOM" make an (unexpected) appearance,

to explain the breast

tenderness and moodiness? If not, your

symptoms sound like estrogen

dominance. This is quite common, and

nothing to worry about.

Estrogen allows endometrium to build in the

uterus, which sheds during

the menses. If you are having anovulatory

cycles, then you are not

producing progesterone (which assists in shedding

the endometrium)

and acts as a counter-balance to estrogen.

NOTES: Excess weight (of course) produces fat...

which changes

other hormones into estrogen. Eat a

diet quite high in fiber, especially if

you suffer with constipation. Excess

estrogen is excreted in the bowel.

If "waste" remains in the bowel for a longer

time, the estrogen is

reabsorbed! Other factors related to

(or affected by) excess estrogen/

deficient progesterone: fibrocystic

breasts, moodiness, PMS, heavy

bleeding, migranes, fibroids, ovarian cysts,

weight gain.

PS: another cause is meds - that overload

the liver. Check the monograph

supplied with your antidepressant, etc. -

for info/effects to the liver.

Natural progesterone (tablet or cream) is affordable,

and will aid in

energy, well-being, and is very helpful when

trying to lose weight.

OK, I have to be running. Tonight I'm

preparing Prime Rib for 10 dinner

guests. Below is the info on MagCal-Ionic.

The 20% discount coupon

code is in RED INK. You may also go

to the site, sign up for email

newsletter - and they will provide you with

the newest discount

"e-coupon" code.

Hope you're feeling better, .

Really pressed for time, or I'd write more.

Sorry!

Hugs,

Genie-on-the-go

calcium and magnesium supplement!

--------------------------------------------------------

1] Why our bodies need Calcium and Magnesium.

1a] Why calcium is needed.

Calcium is vital in the formation of strong bones and teeth and

is also important

in the maintenance of regular heartbeat and the transmission

of nerve impulses.

It is needed for muscle growth and for the prevention of muscle

cramps. This

important mineral is also essential in blood clotting and helps

prevent colon

cancer. It lowers blood pressure and prevents bone loss associated

with

osteoporosis as well.

Calcium provides energy and participates in the protein structuring

of RNA and

DNA. It is also involved in the activation of several enzymes

including lipase.

Calcium protects the bones and teeth from lead by inhibiting

absorption of this

toxic metal. If there is a calcium deficiency, lead will be

absorbed by the body

and deposited in the teeth and bones. This may account for the

higher levels of

lead in children who have a higher incidence of cavities.

A calcium deficiency may result in the following symptoms: muscle

cramps,

nervousness, hearth palpitations, brittle nails, eczema, hypertension,

aching

joints, increased cholesterol levels, rheumatoid arthritis,

tooth decay, insomnia,

rickets, and numbness in the arms and/or legs.

Calcium is more effective when taken in smaller doses spread

throughout the

day and before bedtime. When taken at night, it also promotes

a sound sleep.

This mineral works less effectively when taken in a single mega

dose.

Female athletes and women experiencing menopause need greater

amounts of

calcium due to lower estrogen levels.

--------------------------------------------------------

1b] Why magnesium is needed.

Magnesium is vital to enzyme activity. It assists in calcium

and potassium

uptake. A deficiency interferes with the transmission of nerve

and muscle

impulses, causing irritability and nervousness. Supplementing

the diet with

magnesium helps prevent depression, dizziness, muscle weakness,

twitching,

heart disease, and high blood pressure, and also aids in maintaining

the proper

pH balance.

This essential mineral protects the arterial lining from stress

caused by sudden

blood pressure changes, and plays a role in the formation of

bone and in

carbohydrate and mineral metabolism. With vitamin B6, magnesium

helps

reduce and dissolve calcium phosphate stone.

Consumption of alcohol, use of diuretics, the presence of fluoride,

the effects of

diarrhea, and high amounts of zinc and vitamin D all increase

the body's need for

magnesium. Magnesium combined with vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) may

prevent

calcium oxalate kidney stones.

--------------------------------------------------------

2] Genie, 7 reasons you should consider MagCal-Ionic as your

calcium and

magnesium supplement!

First: For the body to recognize these nutrients they must be

available in ionic

form or they can pass through the system with no effect. Dissolving

MagCal-Ionic in a liquid prior to consumption, means it is 100%

available and

absorbable by the body and absorption begins the moment it enters

your mouth.

This advantage is not seen in capsules, caplets or chewing forms

of calcium such

as antacids as they first need to be processed by the stomach

to be converted

into an ionic form before being useful nutrients. Many times

these forms of

calcium pass directly through the stomach and bowl system with

little

absorption. With MagCal-Ionic your system is able to bypass

this process of ionic

conversion meaning you get very high absorption rates as MagCal-Ionic

is 100%

bio-available.

Second: MagCal-Ionic uses the same type of calcium that is injected

into your

body by IV application when under medical care. This means you

are getting the

best possible grade of calcium available. The calcium used in

MagICal is the one

approved by the FDA for IV injection so it has to be good .(No

antacid tablet on

the market can say that.)

Third: In MagCal-Ionic a powder form of calcium and magnesium

has been

blended into a highly flexible product. When dissolved in a

liquid it goes it goes

immediately into the ionic form that is utilized at the cell

level.

Fourth: An acetic acid is used in the blending process of MagCal-Ionic

and the

body recognizes this as an amino acid which means better transportation

into

the cells for 100% absorption availability.

Fifth: Studies have proven calcium gluconate which is used in

MagCal-Ionic can

regenerate new bone growth.

Sixth: Antacid type calcium found in many tablets and capsules

pulls enamel off

the teeth making your teeth more susceptible to decay and Dentists

do not like it

for that reason. Dentists recommend our DentiCal for Oral Health.

Seventh: 1/2 tsp. twice per day may keep the Doctor away (just

like an apple a

day).

Hiya Genie and All - thanks for asking

how I'm feeling. I must have

adjusted to the Cytomel because I'm not having any bad side effects

any more, so I'm still taking it. So far I don't feel much of a

difference except my palps are a little better. Maybe I'll try

increasing slowly. My energy levels have actually been worse...

I've been kind of dragging this week but that could be because I'm in a

bit of a funk right now. With how emotional I felt the other night and

the breast soreness I've had lately, I could have sworn my period was coming,

but then I looked at the calendar and it was still 1.5 weeks off. Could

the breast soreness be a perimenopausal symptom? I've only ever had that

the day before my period, now it seems I've had it for 2 weeks and it gets

a little worse each day.

What's the 20% discount from for the Mag-Cal, Genie? You're right,

at half the dosage the price isn't too bad. Thanks for the chewable

calcium rec., . I'll check that out.
