Guest guest
I think that those that have had the fastest responses actually had much more thyroid hormone resistance and lack of T3 than I did. That's why I have adjusted around so much. It could be that I did not need that level of T3, maybe just a little. Some people literally " hum " in the very first week of Armour because their bodies were totally without the benefits of T3. In my case, it could be (not sure) that I needed just that little bit to send me " over the line " , plus the other benefits of Armour. I wish there was a concrete lab that proves it, but I don't really have any way of proving it. The sad fact is that I was totally unaware that I needed Free's testing until around March or so of 2003, so I have no idea what they were running for all these yrs. When I was tested for the first time, though, suddenly my TSH was running in the 30s, as it had run down to around 5.5 (which I know was too high for me) for the past several yrs, and then around 9-10 when I started loudly complaining to a doctor. I believe that that could have to do with antibodies, but I haven't tested for many yrs for this, and didn't when I had the Frees run. To put it simply, it's sort of like screwed up communication between the hypothalamus and the pituitary, and my thyroid is taking the punishment for it, since it's still alive, so to speak.
