Guest guest
Geri, I don't have any expertise in this area, but have heard on thyroid forums over the years that Hashi's or hypothyroidism would not qualify for diability. The reasoning behind that of course is that it is treatable. so i don't know that Hashi's alone is the way to go for you on this.... But here's a tip....illnesses like fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (which oddly are sometimes just undiagnosed or undertreated hypothyroidism) can be compensable disabilities...but i don't know all the ins and outs of qualifying...so maybe someone else here knows more. There are probably some sites available for more info too - perhaps google " social security disability qualifications " ...here's one site that came up when i did that: http://arthritis.about.com/cs/disability/a/ssdi.htm that article says there is a list of diabilities which qualify...so I think it would be important to go the right route on that from the onset. cindi > > I have a question and I am not sure if anyone here can help or if I am > just feeling sorry for myself.
