The problem with challenging this in court is financing a protracted

legal battle.

Electing legislators that will support alternative medicine is an option

open to all of us.

As well as communicating with our legislators who are in office now to

let them know that

we will not support them in future elections if they do not represent

our interests. Letters are

inexpensive. But it does take time and thought. So does illness.

Very true Garnet, but there have been quite a few challenges over the years

based on the 9th Amendment. I know that very few people can afford to bring on

this type of legal battle on their own, but don't forget about the ACLU and

other non-profit citizen groups that help support people's right to choose.

Yes, I assume there are people working with this issue through these

various action groups.

The sad thing is, I'm a member or an autism board and there they are celebrating

Dr. Wakefield's problems - they hate the guy! Where is that coming from?

I think many parents of autistic kids feel blamed when alternative folks ask

" Have you tried ____ ? " , like they just haven't tried enough to cure their kids.

Autistic adults themselves get angry that anyone is trying to cure them, kind of

like how a gay person would be angry if anyone suggested there was a cure for

homosexuality.

....Or stupid people would get angry if someone suggested there was a cure for

stupidity - ?

(Not that those three have anything to do with each other.)

On the Gut and Psychology Syndrome DVD, Dr. Natasha -McBride says that

after Dr. Wakefield was banned from practicing medicine in Europe, none of the

other medical doctors would touch an autistic kid's digestive problems with a

ten-foot pole.

Hi Garnet,

Besides the plants they have patented that accept high aluminum in their

life, the one that worries me the most is, the bill that says you can't

share, sell, give or trade your home produce. This means in the event of

starvation, if you grow your food, your relatives can starve. They don't

pass bills without a reason!

And then there is the Executive Order that Clinton passed just before

leaving

the White House that said if you have more than a 2 week supply of food the

government has the right to take it and do what they wish with it.

It's craziness and is going to drive people to at the very least a

passive revolution.

What am I saying, it already has. We are there. And in the very near

future it may

not remain so passive.

is correct. It is about reduction in population. This is a means that is

used in developed nations. In 3rd world countries, they just send in the

military to put down an imaginary uprising and massacre everyone in the area, or

fuel old rivalries to where the citizens kill each other. There are no natural

seeds left for sale in S Africa and same holdss true for Iraq. Just monsanto

franken-seeds. Afghanistan will likely be next to join that group (except for

their poppy seeds)

That is so true Garnet. Backyard poultry-raising is now an explosive growth

industry. Just visit www.backyardchickens.com and read about it. They have

nearly doubled their membership in just one year. More than a few people have

decided to have a supply of food that they control and produce for good reason.

Hurricane Katrina taught us that if nothing else.
