Guest guest
Dear Ann, I just want to thank you for your reasoned, calm tone. It is always my intention to be so but I don't always succeed.my experiences with YL go back quite a ways and I'd only buy their EOs if forced at gunpoint. That being said, at this point in time I do believe their EOs are close enough to what they say that I don't worry with it...I only attempt to counter the shrill ones. You clearly have educated yourself (and possibly YL had altered their training) to the place where you don't advocate dangerous practices on list and you aren't dogmatic about YL being the only oils worth using. I appreciate that more than you know. It tells me you are informed as well as temperate. I'm grateful for your reasonableness. Guest guest
Thank you, SaraLou. I buy YL oils because I am confident in their quality. I have personally witnessed healing that is magnificent, but I realize that we are all individuals so I make no claim that they will do the same for everybody. I took an advanced chemistry course in the biochemistry of individuals from the very famous Dr. Wiliams, the discoverer of glutamic acid, and it as amazing how truly different we all are. If someone has an extra nose or eye, it will be difficult for them to pass along this characteristic, but the differences where it doesn't show are freely passed along to progeny so our internal anomalies and chemistries are more frequent than the standard in the books. I am educated (BA in math, secondary teaching certificate, JD), but as far as oils go, it has been self education except for a Raindrop Technique seminar during which I grew a half inch (had previously shrunk). So that impressed me tremendously. I became a distributor because it made it cheaper for me to buy YL oils. I have a stubborn, but non-dominant personality so I would never put a gun to anybody's head to buy from me. But I am not a sissy either and I resist the domination of others. This really ticks off bossy folks because I am polite so they do not expect resistance. I actually had someone say to me, " Do you know why I hate you? " I said I had no idea to which he responded, " You look like a victim, but you are not. " I have the same attitude toward politics. My own daughter and I are so opposite each other both on oils and politics. It makes me sad, but not angry. She, on the other hand, takes it personally. I guess I learned how to behave partly at home, partly at college (I stayed in a dormitory that thought it was a finishing school, ha ha I learned where to put the shrimp fork, etc) and mostly in teacher training. I am appalled at how modern teachers reveal they have had virtually no training in how to deal with people. If you want to be safe when having a conversation with strangers, stick to horses and dogs. This will get you through most cocktail parties. Apparently YL is a blasting cap. There is a great deal of animosity toward it. I guess those shrill people, whom I have not met, thank God, are mainly responsible. I also appreciate your remarks and I am very grateful for the wonderful information on health that you have provided. Ann > > > > >Are these all geared toward the Young Living Essential Oils? Guest guest
ROFLMAO, on first read I pictured talking to the horses and dogs in preference to the people!! Still very good advice, Garnet Ann Brandenberger wrote: > > > If you want to be safe when having a conversation with strangers, > stick to horses and dogs. Guest guest
Oh thats good, Garnet. Come to think of it, conversations with dogs and horses (as opposed to talking ABOUT them) would be safer yet. I know this mare who is a week over due. I would recommend a little clary sage for her, but now I am all bumfuzzled about recommending anything for anyone. The previously mentioned young filly with the broken heart has now been mated again and is acting frisky. Ann > > > > > > > >Are these all geared toward the Young Living Essential Oils? Guest guest
I would not worry about a mare being a week over due. Gestation in horses can range widely and even seems to vary with the year, with trends toward longer gestations being associated with a particular year in broodmare bands. Unless the mare is in obvious distress and producing no foal let nature take its course. You can tell when the foal is turning and dropping, the mares hips get looser and she walks differently and her vulva relaxes and elongates. If this has not happened it just isn't time. They can also delay their labor for a day or two if they do not like where you have put them to foal. Some of them have very definite preferences for where they want to be.
