Guest guest
There are several trade names for formaldehyde used to hide it from the public awareness when they have to put it on an ingredient label. Will do some digging and see if I can find a good list, probably on an MSDS. I was so allergic to it in high school that I could not dissect the earth worm preserved in formalin in biology. I also could not go in a fabric store and as an adult had trouble in clothing stores my eyes would sting so bad from the fumes. Maybe they are improving this now as I have not noticed it in the past few years, or my allergy has improved. I still always wash new clothes before ever wearing them, did that once with a pair of shorts and got a terrible rash in a most uncomfortable place. Not sure what the current use is but at one time the perma press cottons, clothing and bed sheets were impregnated with it in a permanent manner as part of the wrinkle free process.
