Guest guest
Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with Hashimoto's. I have been on 50 mcg of Synthroid for 5 weeks now and notice no change. For many years, my symptoms have been blamed on endometriosis, allergies and Meniere's disease. I thought I was going through menopause because I've been having irregular menstrual cycles, extreme PMS, etc. My ob/gyn ordered the blood test of my hormones and found my TSH level high. My regular doctor ordered more detailed bloodwork and the antimicrosomal antibody test. My results: TSH 11.12 T4 5.9 Free T4 .9 T3 Total 89 I am to get retested in mid January...I am still feeling awful. What do I do from here? Guest guest
I just called the doctor to get the antibody results...it is 1576.9. > Definitely hypo, and that Free T4 is way too low, even though on the lab > " normal " range, it probably shows barely inside of normal. Guest guest
Wow!! There's one problem for sure. They're like little evil pack people in there aren't they? Guest guest
Hi Kay and welcome to the group. You said you just got out of the hospital? Rest until you feel better. Don’t push yourself. I took asthma for granted and wound up with permanent lung damage. How does the singulair work for you? I’ve been thinking of trying again. Guest guest
Barb, We tried Singulair with me with little to no results. If you have good prescription coverage you should ask your doc about Clarinex-D 12 hour (it is NOT the same as Claritin). It stops any sinus symptoms I have in their tracks.
