Guest guest
Hi Felicia, Technically, the patient did not order the test, the center did. To my way of thinking the only reason that the doctor would want to follow with the patient is if the doctor snipped a polyp and wanted to go over the result of the biopsy. If the polyp was snipped, the colonoscopy will be billed to the patient and not the program. If it was routine, there is no reason for the program to pay for a follow-up. Please let me know if I am missing something. Hope this helps, Thanks, Bill From: TxFinancialCoordinators [mailto:TxFinancialCoordinators ] On Behalf Of ELIZONDO, FELICIA Sent: Thursday, October 26, 2006 12:54 PM To: TxFinancialCoordinators Subject: Question On a patient that goes for a colonoscopy and the office schedules him for a follow up visit to go over the results. Do you cover the f/u visit as part of the evaluation? Thank you, Felicia
Guest guest
Yes it can be common,I have it also numbness in my hands, feet and toes with the tingling,my labs are in the normsl range also ,does your come and go orm are you having it all the time or is it more when you are tired , Deborah Question Could someone please tell me: Have any of you ever had problems with numbness and tingling in your extremities? My labs are all normal right now, but this numbness is driving me crazy. I also have the trembling (like with the hyper) but the doctor seems to think it still may be thyroid related. I have to go back in approx. 4 wks for labwork and then another doctor's visit. Is it normal to have these symptoms and yet all labs are in normal range? Guest guest
Hi, Something interesting I ran across a few days back worth sharing... There was an article in the newspaper talking about that millions of unsuspecting people have celiac disease or gluten intolerance. It went on to say that many people had subtle symptoms that went away when wheat was removed from their diet. The most popular was numbing and tingling. Also getting leg cramps while sleeping. I had both and both have mostly gone away, especially the leg cramps. I used to have to have a bottle of tonic water next to my bed, so I could drink it when I got Charlie horses -the quinine is what relieves the cramps. I haven't had one for almost a year and I stopped eating gluten on July 3, 2006. Maybe that is significant! Also, numbness and tingling can also be a sign that you have low Vitamin B12 levels or maybe even pernicious anemia, which I have. Not counting on my tingling and numbness totally going away, but it has improved. Jamy, or whomever posted about a new labsonline gluten test... There is not a new celiac test. It is a new tool used to determine if it is worth further testing such as by a biopsy. I have gluten intolerance, but tested negative on every test including the biopsy and only tested low borderline via saliva. I wish I had saved my money and bought quality foods instead; and eliminated gluten and saw if I felt better. That's what I eventually did anyway! And yes my quality of life has much improved! Bj > > It is almost constant right now, more on my left side than my right. Sometimes Im thinking one thing, but saying another -- makes me sound pretty stupid at times. And when I walk into walls, that's pretty embarrassing. I also get this painful rash, although very small, on my fingers, usually right hand but now starting on my left as well. It's only there for a few days, maybe a week and then goes away. My doctor is giving me a month and then we may start searching for other things. > Of course, I always worry about things like MS also. It seems to have a lot of those same symptoms. > > --------- Question > > > Could someone please tell me: > Have any of you ever had problems with numbness and tingling in your extremities? Guest guest
Alana, I have always been told by drs. that it is often before the symptoms even show that one is most contagious. While symptoms are active, one also remains contagious (through sneezing, coughing, etc). They also say that after 24 hrs. on antibiotics one is likely no longer contagious. BUT, from my own personal experiences, with myself and my daughter, I don't believe this one at all! > > > > > > > Does anyone know - > > when someone is sick with a cold or bronchitis or whatever, at what > point are they contagious? > > > > Thanks, > > Alana >

Guest guest
I live in Nebraska; the state-wide ban will start this coming summer. Grand Island started the ban last summer. Rhonda W.
