Does anyone else get overheated with exertion? Now, I mean, not reallyheavy, but maybe mild exertion, like picking up a room or doinglaundry? I seem to get so overheated that I am almost in a panic toget myself cooled down. I know it is summer, but I am in Oregon (notall that hot considering I am from Southern California) and I have theair conditioner on.Heck, maybe I am having hot flashes. I could up my herbal estrogenstuff & increase the amt of estrogen cream I use & see if that helps??(I am 44 w/ one ovary and no uterus). But, I am wondering if this is possibly a FM thing.DonnaL
Guest guest
Heck yes, I can get up go to the kitchen sweep the floor, sit down and drown and it is mostly my head and neck area and under my arms dry and it is NOT a hot flash if it is I have been having them long after I should be. They are enough to make you not want to do anything. I sympathize they are lousy. C.. my name is to long
Guest guest
I seem to sweat a lot since getting this so think may be linked. I sweated more tidying son's room than a whole curves workout previously! ------------------
Guest guest
YES! It is my head & neck/chest area. When it happens I *HAVE* to get my hair up off my neck or I feel like I will go crazy! > > Heck yes, > I can get up go to the kitchen sweep the floor, sit down and drown > and it is mostly my head and neck area and under my arms dry and it is NOT a > hot flash if it is I have been having them long after I should be. > They are enough to make you not want to do anything. Guest guest
I have pure cotton towels about the size of a dish towel, I twist them up and tie around my head and hey absorb the moisture and help a lot. I look like Lucille Ball and my neighbors think I am a little strange, ha little do they know. OH, and wear pure cotton, synthetics will make matters worse. I hear you about your hair, I have threatened several times to go bald. It is very embarrassing when I am out and my head looks like I took a shower, get all fixed up and do your hair and makeup and now your eye brow is running down your face along with the mousse you used to spike up your hair. Guest guest
Wow! I thought it was just me and the fact that I gained so much weight. I have never sweat like this before. My doc says it was no big deal. Daneene > > YES! It is my head & neck/chest area. Guest guest
Well I do use clippers on my hair, and have a buzz-head! This is because even if I could get out to a hairdresser, the place & products are far too toxic for me…even Aveda, who says they are totally non-toxic- not true at all! I used to hand-cut it but don’t have the strength anymore. And now I never have to worry about how my hair looks, hat-head etc! Academic really, as I’m housebound (more or less) so no-one sees me for the most part anyway. Aylwin xox _____ Subject: Re: overheated with exertion? Guest guest
Hi Every one... I get the sweats too on my face and neck and chest. We call it my " oven is on " . I'm past menapause ( & when I went through it is was double bad) so I know it's not that. Right on about wearing synthetic materials, it feels like I will suffocate and melt instantly and also about the hair and makeup. How strange this is...and men don't have this problem and can't relate. Stella
