I am lifting you up with ptayer!

Hi, I went to the docs the other day complaining of bad stomach pains. He

decided he would order an x-ray of my abdo/kidneys to check for kidney stones

(just to rule it out.) Anyway, there were no kindney stones but they did

discover a largish area of calcification on the muscle and tendon of my right

hip. He's not sure what this means so is sending me to a specialist. Can this

have anything to do with having Fibro? I'm only 36 but have a lot of joint

troubles and body pain etc...

If anyone knows anything or has heard of this i'd love to hear your opinion, in

particular if it relates to Fibro or auto immune issues.

Though I'm no expert, I know from my own experience that calcification can occur

where there have been injuries or insults to tissues. I doubt it is related to

FMS because FMS is a functional illness which leaves no visible effect on the

tissues.

Good luck and let us know.

Thanks barbara, thats what i read too. I'm just really surprised about it as i

can't recall injuring myself (fibro makes exercising hard and i don't really do

it) so i can't imagine how i could have done it. I've heard too much Vitamin D

can cause it too but i had a test a month or so ago and was severely deficient

in Vit D so it can't be that. Guess i'll have to wait until March when i can get

into the specialist.
