Need help re: residential placement in NY

Hi, folks. I'm sorry for the cross-posting, but I wanted to get as many

replies as possible. A friend of mine has an 8 year old cousin with a behavior

disorder (not autism, more psychological issues) who may end up in foster

care due to his parents' divorce and their lack of parental fitness to care for

him individually. Rather than have him go through the foster system, I'm

looking for information on residential schools for children with similar

problems. The family currently lives in Monroe, NY, but I'd be interested in

hearing about anything in the NY tristate area. If you have any info, please
