Guest guest
> > I see ted Friedman in la www.goodhormonehealth.com<http://www.goodhormonehealth.com/> just sent me some latest results my tsh receptor antibody( TBII) is 17 range 0-14. may have the thyroid yanked. I do not believe in radiation since I am already having trouble with eyes. I want to stop the change from Hashi to elevated graves before more damage. My dhea is elevated too, and frankly my rage level. AM cortisol 19 range 8-19. My d is low and that is after just coming back from a trip in the the tropics He also sent me a good article on it is anyone wants a copy,. It is a pdf. Nice to meet you to. The article talks about calcium with a d deficiency by the way. Hi Jamy, SO SORRY to read about your eyes. <Yikes!> Friedman has a good reputation -- does he feel surgery is the best route? Does he feel radiation will worsen your eyes? Before I forget, PLEASE DO post the article -- either in the Group's files, or PLEASE email it to me: geniem@... I *had* only bulging eyes (which subsided) and a short fuse. My doctor switched the meds... ditched Levoxyl and changed to Armour, along with 3 mg of Ativan (a benzodiazepine tranquilizer) daily. Certainly not a " cure " ... but the switch helped me to resume a normal life, and my weight (which dropped to 88 pounds) began to slowly climb to a robust 98 pounds. Am feeling formidable! :-) YOUR labs are quite different from my own. Then again, it took doctors nearly 13 years to diagnose the problem -- so who the heck can guess what those lab values were... before the diagnosis? Now an old geezer, my symptoms are more Hashi than Graves. Whatever you decide Jamy, I WISH YOU ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD! Have you any friends with Hashi/Graves... that have chosen surgery? Any that chose radiation? I ask, because I am certain you have researched the entire internet for resources and info, but it's helpful to speak with " real folks " that chose one type of treatment over another. Please feel free to drop a line via private mail if you wish. The Hashi/Graves combo is so rare... you may be a long-lost relative! :-) If not, it's still nice to have pals that understand the wild swings, the frustration, and the laundry list of physical symptoms. I hope you had a WONDERFUL trip to the tropics, and truly hope you will share updates. Please send via private mail. I was inactive from Yahoo for a couple of years, and if life become hectic, I may not see your post(s). (Thanks in advance!) Best Wishes To You For A Merry Christmas (or) Happy Hanukkah! Kindest Regards, Genie -- in Tucson
