All my bloods have been normal and the drs don't think theres anything wrong with me except for having a goitre. Thanks Lucy. Dear Lucy: Quick note before I sign off from Yahoo... IF you spoke with your doctors about the swelling, AND they have told you it's okay... then TRY not to worry. My neck/throat swells, feels " full " , and sometimes it is very difficult to swallow. When this occurs, I take an Advil " Liquid Gel " to reduce the swelling. It can be quite a nifty trick trying to swallow a large pill or capsule when the beast is really swollen, so I take it with pudding... or (first) eat something that produces a lot of saliva... like a handful of M & M's. IF IT'S OKAY FOR YOU to take ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) you may want to give it a try. Make sure you have a little food in your tummy BEFORE taking it. And finally -- coffee helps pain killers and anti-inflammatories work faster and better. IF YOU CAN drink coffee and take Advil, you'll feel better in about 30 minutes. Hope you feel better, Lucy!
