Guest guest
Yes, I was one. Actually my 1st pregnancy was trouble - it was planned way in advance since I was getting older and had been on the pill for so long. I was about a size 3 then. Once I stopped the pill I immediately started gaining wt and kept telling the Dr - it took me 8 months to convince her to run a blood test which showed hypo. I started synthroid and dropped 35 lbs but then got pg - I was a size 18-20. Then 2nd time around did fertility treatments etc and got tight on a board and through them watched the "cervical mucus" and realized I wasn't ovulating when I thought I was - got the timing right and wam ! My TPO antibodies were over 3,000 -- [sPAM] New to group - my numbers, advice? Hi, I'm new to the group. I have Hashi's, and I've been trying to get pregnant with my second child for 3 years. Through a test for anti-thyroids while at a new RE, he found a high number for anti-bodies. I will get that # at a later post. Currently, my TSH is 2 (range less than 5), and my free T4 is 1.24. I also have a goiter. I will be starting Synthroid at 50mcg. Does anyone with Hashi's here have trouble getting pregnant, and then when taking Synthroid, you have been able to conceive? Given that my TSH is not so high, does anyone know if the Synthroid at the 50mcg dose sounds like a good way to go? Could this help me be on a better track to conceive? I have had a lot of Hypo symptoms, such as a new trend towards gaining weight, although I am eating more, and I need to exercise more - my cholesterol is borderline high - 216, but my HDL is high (70, and LDL 132), I get tired around 4pm, but I wake early 7am, and I have a 4.5 year old, so I'm always running around. I don't know if my adrenals are a problem, maybe that's why I'm tired, but I did have a B12 test, and it was normal. I'm new to all this, so I'm not familiar with so many tests or what to look for, just learning right now. Mostly, I want to have more energy, lose weight (I'm tall so it doesn't show so much, 5'10", but now 180 lbs, and was 141 at my wedding). And I want to get pregnant. I want my goiter to decrease, and to have my body start to function properly, oh, and to not have a slow bowel situation. Any input would be great! Thanks.
