Guest guest
, You don’t mention her blood sugar. High blood sugar = high insulin = sodium retention at the kidney = water retention = high blood pressure. Does she have any issues with blood sugar? I’m sure her sleep pattern is in the toilet with baby. High cortisol issues? CRP sounds like it’s fine. Any other indications that she is inflamed? Achy joints/muscles? We know that estrogen shifts in around pregnancy can kick inflammation (and autoimmunity) into gear. If she’s inflamed it can negatively impact nitric oxide production by the vessels = vasoconstriction = high blood pressure. Any emotional issues? Pregnancy brings up a lot of “stuff”. An emotional clearing technique – EFT and many others -- might be very useful. Just a few thoughts. It sounds like you’ve identified the likely culprit and are treating. You might consider some calcium d-glucurate to assist in estrogen clearance along with cholagogues, lipotropics. NAC. I’m sure you’re having her do castor oil packs. Palliatively, I’d check rauwolfia if she’s breastfeeding (not sure if it has c/I, have to check Stargrove at work) Have you considered Lachesis (congestion, irritability, better menses)?
